ComputerMaster has provided OECM with an exceptionally high standard of IT support and consulting. We have used their services both on an ongoing basis, through a Service Level Agreement, and on an emergency basis when our sole IT staff person left on very short notice. We then required their services for several months on a daily basis. Their technician, Oljeg Pajkic, stepped into that role. He was immediately helpful through his professionalism, his calm, and his ability to quietly and consistently correct current issues and anticipate potential problems. Brian Pembleton provided excellent management of our needs and was always prompt and effective in his responses. He took the time to understand our business and its requirements. Our business context is highly complex given that we are a not-for-profit agency with funding from the provincial government to work with School Boards, Colleges, and Universities in Ontario. Brian was also always very careful to make sure that our needs were reflected in the deliverables that Oljeg provided and itemized on a daily basis. Services Dear Brian, I wanted just to drop you a note to express our thanks at the continued excellent service we have been receiving since the decision was taken to outsource our IT services to you back in June 05. These have included: •Assistance in the selection and purchase of new server and routers •Assistance with moving locations. •Supply of computer hardware and software. •Supply of equipment and maintenance for office machinery, including printers, scanners, colour copiers •Emergency internet service (when Bell had problems with the ADSL lines) Outsourcing our IT services has proven to be a cost effective way of allowing our staff to focus on our maximizing business, rather than tinkering with IT issues, and after all, maximizing business is what it is all about. My IBM ThinkPad is a great machine. It has handled two major drops (both onto concrete, with some force, over a bit of a distance), major temperature extremes, a house under construction and more. The laptop has met my expectations without fail… except for the power supply. …..Today, it died. I contacted IBM and was informed that every retail outlet had been closed. The IBM warehouse was closed. They may be able to get the power adapter by the end of the day (they MAY BE able). They did promise to be able to deliver by the following business day (Monday is not an option)… …..IBM service was courteous but pretty poor. Basically I could wait and see if they had the part. They also offered to courier it to me for the next business day. Not a good result….. …..Then I got in touch with Brian at Computer Master. He did not have the part in stock (my heart fell, I was counting on the CTN to do the trick), but he would check and get back to me. Five gut wrenching minutes later the phone rang. Brian had contacted his warehouse, they would have it within the hour! An hour for Brian to do what all of IBM could not. Amazing service…. ….. Bernard
